Lodgify approaches the PMS from the direct booking side. The Barcelona company, founded in 2012, made its name letting small hosts build commission-free booking websites with real payment processing, then grew the channel management and PMS layer around that core. The result suits hosts whose strategy is reducing OTA dependence: templated sites, a booking engine, synchronized calendars across Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com, and automation adequate for small portfolios. Larger managers tend to outgrow its operations depth, but as the on-ramp to a direct booking business it remains one of the most accessible tools in the industry, with genuinely transparent pricing.
